"NATAL" 0-4-0 was the first steam locomotive to haul a passenger train in South Africa between Market Square, Durban and the Point (3.2 Kilometers) on 26th June, 1860.
"BLACKIE" 0-4-2 hauled the first train between Cape Town and Eersterivier on 13th February, 1862.
